Algeria Reiterates Commitment to Constitutional Order in Niger and Warns Against Foreign Military Intervention
ALGIERS – The Algerian government has once again emphasized its deep dedication to restoring constitutional order in Niger and upholding the principles of the rule of law. In this spirit, the Algerian authorities reaffirmed their support for Mr. Mohamed Bazoum as the legitimate President of the Republic of Niger, as stated by official sources.
“The imperative return to constitutional order must be achieved through peaceful means, avoiding any additional insecurity and instability for our brotherly nation Niger and the entire region. It is essential to spare our peoples from further adversity and hardship,” the same sources emphasized.
As a result, Algeria issues a stern warning and calls for caution and restraint in the face of potential foreign military interventions. These options, unfortunately still being considered, are viewed as usable alternatives. However, they only serve to complicate and exacerbate the current crisis, the statement concludes.
